Bush Administration Eases Federal Rules on State and Local Spying, Data to be Shared With Feds

Fans of Judas Priest might remember the great song "Electric Eye"... Devotees of Ziggy Marley might have asked, like Ziggy, "What is that all-seeing eye doing on our Dollar bill?"

Well there are more eyes watching you now than ever before, thanks to a new Justice Department "rules change", as the verbally challenged like to call it.

Local and state police forces will now have greater access to your private documents and private affairs, without, um, what were those old things called... You know, the things police officers used to need before they searched your private property? Shoot, there used to be this term...

Uh...

Warrants? Yeah! That was it, A WARRANT was needed! Oh well, it is, after all, the "War" on Terror, so why bother with the rules of the US Constitution?
