Pretty obvious to me that if government continuously breaks its own laws the consequence is the rule of law is a fallacy.

Recently there were riots in Britain & this had followed on from the phone hacking scandal involving the Murdoch Press & a little further back the scandal revolving around MP expenses. I kind of think for many at the bottom of society there probably is a strain of thought that if those who make the laws & those who police the law are corrupt & breaking the law, then hey f**k it lets riot.

How can there be a rule of law when its pretty obvious that large corporations can use their wealth to bend the law or damn right buy the law to their favour?

The major supermarket chains have for a long time bullied & bribed local councils to get planning permission to build on greenbelt property, but hey a bunch of gypsies build homes on property they own without permission government is trying to toss them off their property. I wonder am I the only one who sees the hypocrisy!

What has happened with Dale farm has genuinely upset genuinely upset me & its sad that there hasn’t been more people in the know campaigning on behalf of those at Dale Farm, but its what has woken me up to the rule of law being a lie.

Just today, there’s been a report published into the abuse of an Iraqi detainee by the British army. The kind abuse inflicted by the British detainee had been outlawed by the Heath government back in 1972. Need I say anymore about there not being a rule of law?

Am I speaking bollocks or is the rule of law a fallacy?
