Of course, the story concentrates on a politically motivated man, Rudy Giuliani, as he criticizes FEMA, but the information undergirding his criticism is sound. FEMA is nowhere to be seen in many areas of NY. Water is short. Heating is spotty. Food is low. People are dying.

The reliance on government to provide so-called "aid" during natural disasters merely increases the likelihood that the consequences will be more severe, and it does nothing to show that anyone really cares.

Read this piece, if you will, then watch the video in the second link. Note what the reporters observe about "help" and officials not being present as the storm surge came. Who was providing the early warnings? The for-profit news reporters who were out there when the government "aid" people were not.
