US Regulators May Impose Fines on "Chronically Late" Airlines -- Not Acknowledging That Most Delays Are Caused by FEDS

Guess what...

Since the federal government rules the roost in the air, and we all feel so much safer because of it, they can now deflect attention from their own mismanagement at the gates -- which causes the majority of late planes -- and may impose heavy fines on the airline industry! Just what ticket buyers need -- MORE government inspired expenses that will be PASSED ON to them!

Here is the piece. Wouldn't it be nice if the airlines could operate in a market free from government constraints, and one that allowed for open competition? If that were the case, no fines would be needed for "late airlines" because passengers could pick and choose and airlines would have to respond to THEM, not politicians without any vested interest in being satisfied by service, or having to serve the customer.

The federal control of the air routes is unjustified, both economically and constitutionally. Spread the word.
