Wikileaks Disaster: All Their Files Released, Unredacted

So, the question for people who want to be aware of what the government is doing with the money it takes from them is, perhaps, this:

How does one view the risks to lives of informants and agents who migh tbe exposed by the release of these classified documents?

Anarcho-capitalists know the answer, and it arises from a supposition, that the state is illegitimate, and would not be doing this in the first place... it certainly didn't protect the names of those it promised to keep secret, did it?

Obama Admin Backs Off Burdensome Energy Regulations

With the "official" unemployment numbers over 9% (the real number of unemployed is closer to 17-18%), and NEW job growth at 0%, the Obama Administration has shut down proposed EPA smog standards that would shut down 40% of the coal-burning power plants in the US and cost power companies up to $90 billion.

But, but... We were told by the brilliantine statists that these kinds of impositions would CREATE GREEN JOBS, right?

So why not impose these costs and MORE?

Feds Raid Gibson Guitars - EPA Thugs Confiscate WOODEN Instruments

Did you know this happened before, in 2009? Not only is the EPA an unconstitutional agency, this raid ought to show any left-winger-statist that giving government the power to stop peaceful transactions in order to block what they don't like will also give government the power to block peacefl transactions that THEY DO LIKE.

Once More Gubment "Adjusts Downward" GDP Numbers

Take a listen to our "1984" episode (found in our audio library) for an exploration of how the gubment continually pups up bogus numbers and then, a few months later, releases numbers that are lower for GDP. They always try to ake things look better than they are...

And isnt it interesting to see how the numbers are so vulnerable to manipulation by politicians so they don't look as bad?

Republocrat Congressman Orders Cops to Seize Citizens' Cameras at PUBLIC EVENT

We've seen this kind of thing done before by Dems, but now the Republicans are getting in on the act. Here is a PUBLIC meeting, being filmed by a local TV station (they got to keep their cam rolling), where Congressman Stev Chabot (phone number to office: 513-684-2723) ordered dullard police to CONFISCATE citizens' cams and camera-phones in order to "be safe"...

Ya think this will begin happening a lot more? Bet on it.

FCC Said to "Kill 'Fairness Doctrine' Forever"

First, we know that nothing is ever really dead in gubment. A change in executive branch policy could revive this unconstitutional rule and have it enforced by the unconstitutional FCC (very Soviet of them, isn't it?)...

But this is a good move as it stands. The so-called "fairness doctrine" never had anything to do with fairness. It promoted the false idea that the federal gubment has a place in regulating the content of ideas broadcast over the airwaves. It was used to shake-down broadcasters and limit opposing points of view, and it hurt market incentives to provide for the audience what they wanted to hear.

Wall Street Aristocracy Got $1.2 Trillion From Federal Reserve

A couple things to note as you read this piece. First, as we have pointed out, the Fed claims that it has gotten all the loaned money back, plus a profit. What the Fed propagandists DON'T mention is that the money that their borrower-bank-cronies gave back came from, yeah, you got it, the US government (in the form of the TARP, and five other federal programs).

Take a Moment: Watch This Fantastic Interview with Ron Paul

For those who might be new to libertarian economics and philosophy, please take some time to watch this great, in-depth interview with Congressman Ron Paul. It was recorded by the NH Concord Monitor, which is filled with statists, and their ignorance actually fuels him to have to explain in even more detail. It turns out to be an excellent exchange!

EPA Regs About Which We Warned Are Ready to SHUT DOWN 1/5 of ALL COAL PLANTS

We mentioned this a long time ago, knowing it couldn't be stopped. The EPA is an unconstitutional agency that acts without congresssional laws being written (even if Congress DID pass such laws, they would be unconstitutional), and the regulations they are enacting are predicated on the belief that the burning of fossile fuels is causing "climate change" -- a belief disputed by thousands of scientists, from climatologists to meterologists to cosmologists to chemists and on and on.

But that's okay, it's only going to make the cost of electricity rise sharply during a time when people are being hard hit by the extended recession.

Jobless Claims up, Prices Rising

Remember, any time you read or hear a so-called "expert" tell you that "inflation is rising", that just means that the prices are increasing, and the inflation of the money supply has already happened.

Can you say, TARP, QE1, QE2, and low interest rates since 2002? Yeah, put them together and they spell inflation of the money supply, which leads to....

Higher prices and malinvestment. Which lead to...

Contraction of the economy, recession. Depression.

Jon Stewart Notes How Pop Media Ignores Ron Paul and His Voters

As we noted here a fewwwwww days ago, the pop media are intentionally disregarding Ron Paul and his near-tie at the Iowa straw poll. It's as if he doesn't exist to them...

Trying to figure out why -- a fruitless exercise. But at least some people who are hip and honest are willing to report what's going on. Jon Stewart is one of them.

11th Circuit Ct Panel Rules Against Some of Fed Health Fascism Law

Yes, a three judge panel ruled 2 to 1 Friday that the INDIVIDUAL MANDATE portion of the federal medical fascism law is unconstitutional. The majority said that this is a dangerous precedent, unseen in US history, and it could lead to other mandates, like the feds telling people they have to eat broccoli (was that a Bush I appointee?;)). They are correct in that, and also correct in stating that such a mandate is not specifically enumerated in the Constitution as a power granted the feds. But they show their inconsistency in not applying it in other cases. For example, if it is not a power granted to Congress to force people to pay for insurance, how is it Constitutional to force them to pay for a so-called (bogus) "Social Security Insurance" program?  And how about "Medicaid"?
